Mbappe openly criticizes PSG

Kylian Mbappe is the main character in the video without the appearance of Lionel Messi and Neymar. This promotional video was deleted after only one day, because Mbappe posted a forum criticizing the club for arbitrarily using his personal image.

The video released by PSG on April 5 contains excerpts from an interview with Mbappe. That excerpt is linked to the 2023-2024 season ticket sale section of the team's website.

"I watched the video calling for fans to own tickets for the whole 2023-2024 season," Mbappe wrote on social networks on April 6. "I was not informed about the content of the interview. I do not agree with the video posted. That is why I fight for the right to personal image. Paris Saint-Germain is a big club, a family. big family, but not Kylian Saint-Germain".

Mbappe is especially interested in protecting his personal image. Last year, he disputed his personal image rights with the French Football Federation (FFF), when he opposed commercial deals in which he had no say at the national team level.

The move to post the above video by PSG shows that the team wants to keep Mbappe, and is ready for the possibility of Messi or Neymar leaving the team. However, Mbappe's public opposition to PSG made the French media not rule out the possibility that the World Cup's top scorer in 2022 wanted to leave right in the summer.
