Messi, Mbappe help PSG beat second place in Ligue 1
PSG is under great pressure when receiving Lens, because if they lose, they are only three points ahead of their opponent. The poor performance at home with three defeats in the last five matches also made PSG fans worried before the match. But the owner of the Parc des Princes was still able to interrupt Lens's four-match winning streak, thanks to the brilliance of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Vitinha.
A 1-3 loss at Lens in the first leg of PSG's unforgettable 2023 opening, with eight defeats in all competitions. Christophe Galtier's teachers and students were therefore eliminated from the French National Cup as well as the Champions League, and were not allowed to lose the rest of Ligue 1 - where Lens was the team that followed them the most. By winning 3-1 in the second leg, PSG not only paid the debt against Lens, but also widened the gap with the opponent himself to nine points.
