MetaSports Marathon Hai Phong to be held in December 2023

Being held for the first time on port land, MetaSports Marathon Hai Phong has 4 distances: 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km. Runner will be strode on a beautiful route, passing through the iconic landmarks of this city. The organizers said that they are completing the preparation stage and are expected to open the registration portal at the end of December.

Information MetaSports Marathon to Hai Phong received the anticipation of the city running lover community. Nguyen Duy Kien, representative of Hai Phong Runners Club, considers this a key tournament in 2023 because it takes place in the winter. "We have plans to compete for next year, especially the MetaSports Marathon at home. The team is gathering members to register under one shirt. Hopefully it will be the most anticipated tournament of the year." Nguyen Duy Kien shared.

Tinh Thanh Runner Club (Kien An) is also waiting for the opening information. It is expected that 90% of the club's members will register, ready to welcome running groups across the country to come as guests. "As a home tournament, everything will be best prepared. Most of the members aim to increase the distance to 21 and 42km," said Pham Phuong, the club's president.

Besides Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong is one of the localities with a fast-growing running movement. At the MetaSports Marathon Hanoi Midnight (November 26), the city has three clubs competing for the team prize, with a total of 60 runners with good results. Along with that, dozens of other runners attended the tournament to experience. They believe that having an annual marathon will promote the development of Hai Phong running.

With developed infrastructure, Hai Phong has many advantages to organize a marathon. There are about 600 streets here, located in 7 inner city districts, creating a variety of running routes. The ancient architectures from the French period and the rich cuisine here have long attracted tourists to visit.

Out-of-province athletes coming to Hai Phong to compete will have a variety of options, from traveling by plane to train and personal vehicles. Especially the Hanoi - Hai Phong - Ha Long expressway significantly shortens the time for runners in neighboring localities.

Like other tournaments in the VM system, when coming to the race in the port city, runners will enjoy facilities such as medical care, water refueling, and running track security.
