MetaSports Marathon Nha Trang awarded 1.5 billion VND prize
The MetaSports Marathon Marvelous Nha Trang 2023 awards ceremony took place at 11 a.m. on August 13, after 11,000 runners completed the race. The results of the tournament were somewhat dramatic and unexpected when new factors appeared from Japan and Kenya.
After the performance verification period, the organizers announce the prizes for the athletes. This year, MetaSports Marathon Nha Trang increases the cash prize from 15 to 20 million dong for the athletes who won the full marathon content in the professional and movement system. Prizes of equal value, including 20 million in cash, a Garmin Epix Gen 2 watch worth 22.4 million, Xtep shoes worth 1.5 million.
With the movement system, the first and second places in the men's content belonged to Hiroki Nakajima (Japan) and Victor Chepkwony (Kenya), respectively. Trinh Quoc Luong is at the top of the professional system. In the women's content, the first prize winner, the professional category is Shelmith Nyawira Muriuki. The first, second and third positions of the movement belong to Tomomi Nakajama (Japan), Nguyen Thi Thuy Van and Nong Thi Chang respectively.
The half marathon also has three finals. The first prize is worth 23.2 million VND, the second prize is 21.2 million VND and the third prize is 11.5 million VND. In the men's content, three first, second and third prizes belonged to Do Quoc Luat, Vong Vanh Long and Nguyen Thanh Dat, respectively. The first place in the female category was Nguyen Phuong Trinh, "walking queen" Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuc ranked second. Third place is Doan Thi Hien.
In addition to the final prize, the organizers also awarded age prizes to athletes of two full marathon and half marathon distances as announced previously.
In the 5km content, the rewards belong to familiar names. Dao Minh Thien, Cao Minh Chieu and Nguyen Van Thong are three excellent male athletes, respectively, receiving prizes worth VND 5 million, VND 4 million and VND 3.5 million, respectively. The three female athletes receiving this award are Le Bao Ngoc, La Dam Huyen Trang, and Hoang Khanh Ly.
Minh Thien's twin brother Dao Minh Chi won the first prize in the men's 10km race. Second and third place belonged to Truong Tri Tam and Nguyen Van Chinh. In women's content, the first prize went to Le Thi Yen Nhu, second place went to Tran Thi Ny, third place went to Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hong. This distance athlete received prizes worth VND 6 million, VND 5 million and VND 4.5 million.
MetaSports Marathon Marvelous Nha Trang season two closes, the mark comes from international athletes. 300 foreign runners participated in the race at 4 distances. Since the beginning of this year, this is the tournament with the most high-achieving international athletes and standing on the podium. This contributes to promoting professional quality, which is a motivation for domestic runners to make efforts and improve achievements.
