Mourinho received the 3rd red card to buy this

Italy coach Jose Mourinho was disqualified for the referee's reaction, when Roma lost 1-2 at the bottom team Cremonese in the 24th round of Serie A on February 28.

In the 46th minute, Mourinho argued fiercely with the fourth referee Serra outside the touchline and was directly red carded by referee Marco Piccinini. The Portuguese coach was even more angry after being sent off and loudly protested Piccinini, pointing at Serra and emphasizing "It's him, it's him".

After leaving the touchline, Mourinho used the traditional method of communicating with the assistants on the bench. Instead of using his phone, "Special One" jotted down some notes and asked his assistant Salvatore Foti to give them to the coaching staff. Coincidentally, Foti was already sitting in the stands due to a one-month ban for insulting referee Michael Fabbri and threatening the Cremonese director, when the two teams met in the Italian Cup.

This is the third time Mourinho has been sent off this season, and the fifth red card since taking charge of Roma in the summer of 2021, all because of the referee's reaction. Previously, the 60-year-old coach was sent off in a 0-1 loss to Atalanta in round 7 and a 1-1 draw with Torino in round 15 of Serie A.

"I'm emotional, but not crazy. To react the way I did, something has to happen first. I need to understand if I can take any legal action. I want to find understand if there are any recordings. I don't want to delve into the fact that Serra is from Turin and Roma will meet Juventus on Sunday," Mourinho said after the game, alluding to the fourth referee deliberately aggressive to make him disqualified from directing.

The Portuguese coach continued: "For the first time in my career, the fourth referee spoke to me in the most unbelievable way. It was inexplicable. After the game, I went to talk to them. Piccinini , the fourth referee in the game before I was sent off, told me to apologize to Serra I told Serra that he should have had the courage to explain what had happened, but he had mental problems miss".

On the field of Giovanni Zini yesterday, in the 16th minute, Emanuele Valeri made a wall for Frank Tsadjout to catch a one-touch volley into the high corner and hit goalkeeper Rui Patricio. In the 71st minute, after Mourinho was sent off, Leonardo Spinazzola broke the offside trap, penetrated the penalty area and placed his heart diagonally to equalize the score.

Ten minutes later, Daniel Ciofani's poor shot accidentally created an assist for David Okereke to cross and was fouled by Patricio in the box. On the 11m mark, Daniel Ciofani shot to the left corner. Patricio guessed the right direction but couldn't touch the ball.

In their first promotion to Serie A in 27 years, Cremonese had to wait until round 24 to get their first win. This result helps Cremonese rise to 19th, pushing Sampdoria to the bottom of the table with a distance of one point. Meanwhile, Roma lost fourth place to rivals Lazio.
