Mourinho's assistant fired for attacking opponent
In the 32nd minute of the match at the Olimpico field, when the ball went all the way, Roma defender Diego Llorente and assistant Foti wanted to put it back into play quickly. But Gimenez picked up the ball and threw it away. Foti also jumped into the fray, slamming Gimenez on the shoulder and neck before knocking the Feyenoord player over. Referee Anthony Taylor immediately showed a red card and sent the assistant coach to the stands.

But in the 60th minute, Spinazzola sank to open the score in the second leg. After Paixao headed for Feyenoord in the 80th minute, Roma still didn't give up. In the 89th minute, Paulo Dybala saved the home team with a shot into the high corner.
The final draw was 2-2 after 180 minutes, the two teams had to play extra time. In the 101st and 109th minutes, El Shaarawy and Pellegrini scored respectively, setting a 4-2 victory for Roma.
In the 120th minute, referee Anthony Taylor showed Gimenez a red card after a foul on Gianluca Mancini. In total, the British referee showed eight yellow cards and two red cards in 120 minutes of the second leg of the quarter-final.
