Mr. Dang Thanh Ha is Head of the VFF Arbitration Committee
The Executive Committee of the 9th Vietnam Football Federation (term of 2022-2026) met for the first session today, December 5. Including the assignment of tasks to the VFF's functional departments.
The arbitration panel had a personnel change when Mr. Dang Thanh Ha replaced Mr. Duong Van Hien as head of the Board. Working in this department are also Mr. Vo Minh Tri, Truong Quoc Dung, Vo Quang Vinh and Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan.
Mr. Dang Thanh Ha used to be a referee and supervisor. He was once invited by the Southeast Asian Football Federation to participate in the AFF Cup 2020 and was appointed by the Asian Football Confederation to be on duty at the 2022 Asian U23 qualifier, but then could not attend due to Covid-19. Mr. Ha was also invited by the World Football Federation to the UAE for training to become a FIFA referee supervisor.
He is a member of the 8th Referee Committee and is currently a lecturer of the Asian Football Confederation.
Refereeing is a burning issue of Vietnamese football over the years. In recent seasons, the V-League Organizing Committee even had to hire foreign referees to take charge of "hot" matches that affect the championship or relegation race.
Many members of the VFF Executive Committee believe that it is urgent to improve the quality of Vietnamese arbitration. In addition, VAR technology is expected to be put to the test at the V-League 2023 to limit the errors of the referees.
Also in the Executive Committee meeting today, the members voted to choose the last person to join the VFF Standing Committee. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi has the highest number of votes, will join Chairman Tran Quoc Tuan and three Vice Presidents Tran Anh Tu, Nguyen Trung Kien and Nguyen Xuan Vu on the Standing Committee.
