Nam Dinh recruits goalkeeper Tran Nguyen Manh
The goalkeeper from Nghe An expired his contract with Viettel Club from November, so he landed at Thien Truong Stadium in a free form.
He is training with the Vietnamese team in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, preparing for the AFF Cup 2022, so he cannot join the Nam Dinh club today to prepare for the 2023 V-League.
Nguyen Manh was born in 1991, grew up from the SLNA training academy. He joined the first team in 2012 and won the National Cup with the team in 2017. In 2020, Nguyen Manh left SLNA to join Viettel and with this team won the V-League in the first season.
Nam Dinh returned to the V-League in 2018, and every season races for relegation due to financial constraints. However, with the new sponsor, Thanh Nam's football team is escaping the situation of "poor children", actively shopping to serve the goal of raising the team's level.
Besides Nguyen Manh, Nam Dinh has negotiated with a number of famous players whose contracts have expired such as midfielder Ho Khac Ngoc and striker Hendrio. They are also said to be preparing to sign overseas Vietnamese player Alexandre Dang, who used to play in Norway.
Nam Dinh also negotiated to extend and convert contracts for some players who had signed with the company before, such as defender Viet Tu, midfielder Minh Nghia, midfielder Manh Hung, midfielder Ha Long, Van Truong...
According to the commitment of the Board of Directors, the club will improve the remuneration for players, and immediately pay the kick-off, salary, increase bonus, move to a hotel, prepare to renovate the playing field and training ground. ... The goal given by Nam Dinh is to finish the first phase of the V-League 2023 in the top six teams.
V-League 2023 does not play a round-robin two-legged round to select the champion team like last season. Teams will play a round robin in the first stage. After that, the top six teams will play the second stage of the championship, and the bottom eight will race for relegation. This competition format has been applied in the 2020 and 2021 seasons - the season was canceled after round 12 due to Covid-19.
