Nikola Jokic signed the largest contract in NBA history, committed to the future with Denver Nuggets
According to the prestigious Adrian Wonarowski of ESPN, bigman All Star-Star Nikola Jokic has agreed to sign the biggest contract in NBA history until the present.
At present, with one year left in the old contract and five years just renewed, "Clown" will earn a total of 303 million US dollars in the next six seasons, equivalent to more than 7 trillion Vietnamese dong.
Transfer expert Bobby Marks further noted that Jokic's Supermax contract includes player options for the final year and compensation when trading.
The Joker's salary level is calculated by 6-year-round season:
2022-23 season: $32.4 million
Season 2023-24: $ 46.5 million
Twenty-25: 50, two million dollars,
2025-26 season: $53.9 million
Season 2026-27: $ 57.7 million
In 2027-28: 61,four million,
* The season is accompanied by the last year clause (player option).
derived from one of the most picked players in the NBA Draft, Nikola Jokic has become one of the most excellent styles in NBA history.
Last season, Serbian Biegman averaged 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists per game. He surpassed Philadelphia 76ers forward Joel Embiid to become player of the match, winning MVP for the second straight season.
That achievement makes Jokic the 15th player in NBA history to win at least an MVP and the 10th player to win two MVPs in two straight years.
It was not until this year that Nicola was eligible to sign Supermax after the 2020-21 season, when he won his first MVP of his career, one of the conditions for NBA superstars to get huge salaries.
After successfully retaining the team's brightest stars at the peak of their career, the Denver Nuggets will turn to perfect team competition in the near future.
Even though they make the playoffs every year, Nikola Jokic and his teammates have shown an erratic record with a fairly shaky record. Injuries to struts such as guard Jamal Murray (knee ligaments) or scorer Michael Porter Jr. (intervertebral disc) may be the correct explanation.
However, Denver fans have a right to hope for better results, especially when their beloved team has a forward who has won two consecutive MVP titles.
