Only nine teams do not use domestic coaches in the 2022 World Cup, when foreign coaches still haunt the teams in the past 21 periods.

Most of the strong teams in the 2022 World Cup also use domestic coaches, helping them avoid the aforementioned trap. Nine teams using foreign coaches are Ecuador, Mexico, South Korea, Belgium, Iran, Qatar, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Costa Rica. Of these, Belgium is considered to have more chances of winning the title, but it is not comparable to other heavyweights.

With Ecuador finalizing the squad for the World Cup on November 15, the names of 831 players for the tournament have been announced. Iran was the only team with only 25 players, one less than the maximum number.

In terms of birth month, the most common are 95 players born in January and 90 in February. The month with the fewest World Cup players born was July, with 52.

In terms of goals, Thomas Muller leads with 10 goals in the World Cup, while Ronaldo and Luis Suarez are second with seven goals. Lionel Messi, Neymar and Harry Kane are behind with six goals. Among these, Kane and Muller each won the "Top Scorer" at the tournament.

In the past 21 World Cups, there are eight winners: Brazil, Germany, Italy, Argentina, France, Uruguay, Spain and England. Vittorio Pozzo is the only coach to win the title twice, with Italy in 1934 and 1938. France is the defending champion, after beating Croatia 4-2 in the final at Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow, Russia 2018.
