Note about the time limit of four distances VM Hue 2023

MetaSports Marathon Imperial Hue 2023 announced the tournament schedule with cut off time (COT) of the four distances. This is the maximum time the athlete completes the race with the registered distance, by crossing the last point of the run (finish line). Runners who run after this time are counted as not completing the race, must stop. Support stations (medical, water) will also close according to the running schedule.

At VM Hue 2023 taking place on April 16, the 42km distance starts at 3 o'clock, there are 6 COT milestones. BTC will close the track in the form of a roller coaster, when athletes pass these 6 milestones in turn. The first COT at km 9.5 at 4:35; followed by the 16th kilometer at 5:30; until 6 o'clock; at km 19 is the third COT; at 8 o'clock is the fourth COT at km 32.5; The fifth COT at km 37.5 at 8:45 and 9:30 am is the closing time of the 42km race.

The distance of 21km starts at 4 o'clock, with three COT landmarks. The first landmark is 5:35 at km 9.5. The second COT landmark is at km 16, at 6:40. BTC will close the 21km race at 7:30 am.

Two distances of 5 and 10km have only two COT landmarks. For the 10km distance, starting at 5am, the runner must complete 8km before 6:30 and finish the race at 7am. The 5km runners start the race at 5:30, with a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete the race. In which, the first COT is at 6:30 am at km 2.5 and the last COT is at 6:45 am at the finish line.

If the athlete fails to pass the COT milestones, the organizers will withdraw and write the word "DNF" (Did not finish) on Bib, then the athlete signs a certificate of not completing the race. Runner gets Bib back at the referee counter after the race is over. Depending on the distance of the COT milestone, near the finish line, the organizers will arrange a vehicle to carry athletes.

MetaSports Marathon Imperial Hue 2023 organized by MetaSports Newspaper in collaboration with Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee. Before the race day, BTC distributed Bib and race-kit in two time frames, from 13:00 to 18:00 on April 14 and from 8:00 to 18:00 on April 15, at Ngo Mon Square. Runners coming to receive items can be combined with visiting the house stalls in this area. This is also the place to organize the opening program of the running race, which takes place at 8 pm on April 15.

Before the match time, at 1:30 a.m. on April 16, the organizers opened the deposit counters of four distances, in the area of ​​Le Duan - Nguyen Trai streets. At 6 a.m., athletes receive their items at the finish line of Thua Thien Hue Sports Center (Ha Huy Tap Street). After reaching the finish line, athletes can rest, relax and enjoy food at the stalls arranged by the organizers. The award ceremony takes place from 9am to 11am.

MetaSports Marathon Imperial Hue 2023 has 10,000 athletes participating, double the number of two previous seasons. This is the second tournament in a series of 7 tournaments that will take place in 2023 of the MetaSports Marathon system.
