New France boss Christopher Galtier has been unable to control his side's transfers, including keeping or selling Neymar.

In his inaugural address at Parc des Princes on July 5, Galtier said he enjoyed Neymar's game and saw him as an important part of his career plan for next season. But in an interview with L 'é quipe on July 17, the 55-year-old hinted that the club's leadership would decide to sell or keep the Brazilian striker.

"Yes, I have said very clearly that I want Neymar to stay. But I repeat, there are many things in this field that I can't control," Galtier said.

According to L 'é quipe, President Nasser Helefi wants to sell Neymar before appointing Galtier. The team leader is not satisfied with Neymar's continued form. Last season, the Brazilian striker scored just 13 goals, less than half of his 28 goals in his debut season in France.

PSG just haven't sold Neymar because they haven't found the right partner yet. A number of teams refused because of Neymar's salary, including Chelsea. Others, such as Newcastle, do not have Champions League tickets to convince the world's most expensive player.

PSG currently have 27 players, excluding the goalkeeper, according to Galtier. As a result, the team will have to streamline and balance the salary budget. The list could be reduced to 21 players, excluding the goalkeeper and some young players.

Presnel Kimpembe is one of the players rumored to leave PSG. Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants his former PSG pupil to fill the void left by Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

Asked about the Kimpemberg incident, Galtier said: "I read everything about Kimpemberg. We even laughed at each other. I like him, a great centre-back. But, I don't know what will happen."

Galtier took over at the Parc des Princes in early July, replacing his sacked predecessor Mauricio Pochettino. Psg's new manager has won Ligue 1 with Lille and the French Cup with St Etienne.
