Photo series: Opposing emotions of the semi-final series of the Hanoi student basketball tournament

This morning (March 30), there was a semi-final match to find out the excellent teams that reached the finals of the male and female high school. Coincidentally, the scenario of the two men's semi-finals is quite similar to the scenario of the two women's semi-finals.

In the opening semi-final match between Chuyen Hanoi Amsterdam and Nguyen Binh Khiem. Despite having a better start, Nguyen Binh Khiem was turned over by his opponent, taking the lead 20-5. Then there was a chase where Nguyen Binh Khiem was caught in the chase. Although Nguyen Binh Khiem played very hard and had short series of points to close the gap, that effort was not enough against a team of Hanoi-Amsterdam Chuyen that competed in all-round attack and defense. Professional Hanoi Amsterdam won 38-26 against Nguyen Binh Khiem High School.

The second semi-final between Viet Duc High School and Vinschool Harmony High School took place extremely suffocatingly. After defeating big names like Chu Van An and Tran Phu, the dark horse Vinschool Harmony continued to create a big surprise with a 35-31 victory over Viet Duc High School. At the decisive moment, the Vietnamese-German players repeatedly made mistakes, thereby helping the opponent to have free throws and widen the distance.

In the women's event, the Hanoi Amsterdam Specialty Girls had a comeback against Nguyen Tat Thanh High School to win 47-36. Specialist Hanoi Amsterdam will enter the final against Chuyen Nguyen Hue - the team had a relatively easy victory over Tay Ho High School in the previous semi-final.

When the referee's final whistle was sounded, it was also the time when the players' emotions were broken. The cheers of celebration, the happy hugs of the winning team, along with the tears of regret, the hugs to share the sadness or sit on the floor with disappointment at the players. Unlucky team must admit defeat.
