Italian midfielder Paul Pogba and striker Romelu Lukaku are among the top 10 players with the highest incomes in Serie A but are well behind leaders Matisse Delicht.

According to Tantredi Palmeri, reporters of Sportitalia and CNN, Pogba and Lukaku have a salary of $ 7.5 million per season, at Juventus and Inter. This figure is far behind the income level when the two still play in the Premier League.

Specifically, Pogba's salary 18, three million dollars in six years at Man Utd. The French defense didn't limit the contract to unite this summer Juventus, while, Lukaku would accept a half-income rating to split up with Chelsea and go back to Inter for a year.

Mattis Delicht is currently the highest-paid player in Serie A, earning $12 million a season. The Dutch midfielder is said to want to leave Juventus this summer and is in the sights of Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

In second place is former Arsenal and Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez, with a season salary of $10 million. The Chilean star's salary has also been reduced by about 40% compared with when he played at Old Trafford. Juventus midfielder Adrian Rabiot, with a season salary of $9 million, is another name who is paid more than Pogba and Lukaku.

Behind the duo are Dusan Vlahovic and Angel Di Maria-who have just joined Juventus as free agents-with a season salary of $7 million. Aaron Ramsey is also one of the top 10 earners in Serie A, earning $6.9 million a season.

Lautaro Martinez-Lukaku's partner in Inter's attack next season-currently earns $6.2 million a year. Kalidou Koulibaly is the only player not on Juventus' or Inter's payroll, with a season salary of $6 million. Chelsea are in contact with the Napoli midfielder who could boost his income if he agrees to move to Stamford Bridge.

The Serie A season of 2022-2023 begins on August 13 and ends on June 4, 2023. The competition will run until November 13, before making way for the 2022 World Cup, which begins in Qatar on November 21. In the first round, defending champion Milan played Udinese, runner-up Inter Milan guest rookie Lecce, Juventus played Sassuolo, and Mourinho's Rome played at Salernitana Stadium.

From next season, if the two teams lead by points, they will have to play play-offs at neutral ground to compete for the title. Similarly, if the points are the same, the teams ranked 17th and 18th will play off to compete for relegation qualification. There is no extra time in the play-offs, and if there is a draw within the regular time, it will go straight to the penalty shootout. Play-offs have been adopted for the first time since Serie A in 2004-2005.
