On the evening of June 12th, Switzerland without Cristiano Ronaldo lost to Switzerland 0-1 in the fourth round of Group A2 of the European Union.

Score: Seferovic 1 '

Before the match, coach Fernando Santos confirmed Ronaldo, Joao Moutinho and Raphael Guerreiro did not play. He also said Ronaldo was not injured, and this was merely a decision to turn the squad. Earlier, striker Man Utd shone with a double that helped Portugal crushed Switzerland 4-0 on June 5.

Filming on the Geneva field, Portugal suddenly conceded at the second 56. From the ball in the middle of the yard, Switzerland counterattack quickly. Xherdan Shaqiri overlooked Silvan Widmer to the right wing and then crossed Haris Seferovic to head down the corner. Goalkeeper Rui Patricio flew to the fullest but could not touch the ball. The fastest Seferovic scored the UEFA Nations League history, and became the first player to score for Switzerland in the first 60 seconds of the first match, since Alain Sutter in 1988.

By the 12th minute, referee Fran Jovic sent Switzerland to a penalty when identifying Nuno Mendes to touch the ball in the penalty area. But he changed the decision after going to VAR, and said that Elvedi fouled Andrre Silva in the middle of the field in the previous situation.

Right on the next shadow, Portugal put the ball into the opponent's net. Silva drifted and then crossed Rafael Leao to head near. However, the goal was rejected by Silva offside. This is also the most dangerous ball of the visitors in the first 45 minutes.

Portugal pushed the squad in the second half and took only four minutes to create waves towards the Swiss goal. Silva welcomed Nuno Mendes' pass and then drained to the near corner, but goalkeeper Jonas Omlin was blocked with his leg. On the opposite side, Switzerland is still sharp in the counterattack. In the 62nd minute, Seferovic missed the chance to make a double when penetrating the penalty area and then definitely cross the column.

The Santos coach then tossed Goncaro Gerdes, Diogo Jota and Bernardo Silva into the field. Portugal had better possession as a result but failed to find an equaliser. Switzerland ended a three-game losing streak in the Nations League this season with a score of 1-0.

Portugal: Patricio; Cancelo, Pepe, Danilo, Mendes; Fernandes (Nunes 74), Neves (Horta 82), Otavio (Guedes 46); Leao (Jota 62), Silva, Vitinha (Silva 62).
