Quang Hai goes to Switzerland to practice

Yesterday, coach Didier Tholot agreed to allow Nguyen Quang Hai to attend the AFF Cup 2022 but did not want him to participate in friendly matches because of concerns about injury. Therefore, the 25-year-old midfielder will not join the Vietnamese team to play with Dortmund on November 30 at My Dinh Stadium, although this time the Pau Club is not playing.

After the US Colomier match in the French National Cup on November 19, Quang Hai will go to Switzerland to practice with his own coach, according to the lesson plan given by Pau FC. Quang Hai chose Switzerland because his agent in Europe had found a beautiful stadium of the first-class team that would allow him to practice. Here, he can also avoid the attention of the media.

After two weeks of training in Switzerland, Quang Hai will return to France to join forces with Pau. He only returned to Vietnam on December 15, five days before the 2022 AFF Cup kicks off.

Quang Hai was born in 1997, with Hanoi club four times won the V-League, two National Cups and three National Super Cups. At the team level, he won the gold medal at the 2019 SEA Games, AFF Cup 2018 and with his teammates reached the final qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup - Asia region.

Quang Hai signed a two-year contract with club Pau in the summer, making 11 appearances and scoring one goal in Ligue 2.
