However, Ten Hager was baffled when Cristiano Ronaldo's departure would help the club free up their wage fund and provide more budget for other transfers.
Manchester United have reached an agreement with Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malasia, but have yet to announce a rookie. They are continuing talks to recruit Barcelona midfielder Frankie De Jong, Ajax duo Lisandro Martinez and Antony, and are considering making an offer to Christian Eriksen-who has just expired his contract with Brentford.
