Runner Kenya wins the Boston Marathon twice in a row
USA Evans Chebet successfully defended the Boston Marathon championship, and Eliud Kipchoge disappointed when he finished sixth.

Runner born in 1988 of Kenya finished first in the Boston Marathon with a time of 2 hours 5 minutes 54 seconds, the third best achievement in tournament history. Chebet is the first person to successfully defend the throne since Robert Cheruiyot in 2008.
Boston Marathon, founded in 1897, is the oldest running race in the world, and belongs to the World Marathon Majors (WMM) system, alongside five races in New York, Chicago, London, Berlin and Tokyo. This year's tournament has about 30,000 athletes participating.
