Stephen Curry is not optimistic about shoulder injury: 'First time I've had it like this'

When Stephen Curry unfortunately dislocated his shoulder in the match against the Indiana Pacers, fans were extremely worried because Curry was in great pain, couldn't lift his shoulder and immediately returned to the locker room.

The Golden State Warriors medical team did not reveal much about the injury, only saying that the "chef" must be out of the game indefinitely and will be regularly re-examined for monitoring.

Today, Stephen Curry personally shared about his condition and not very positive update for fans. He said he could not touch the ball yet because he was having to minimize movement for the painful shoulder area.

"It's kind of complicated because I've never had a shoulder injury like this in my career," Stephen Curry said on live broadcast between the Warriors and the Knicks.

“Things are just starting to recover, so there's still a long way to go. I'm far from touching a basketball again. Now I'm just waiting to see if the recovery goes well and then counting."

There is currently no scheduled time for Stephen Curry's return, and the Golden State Warriors star himself has no answer. He said that hopefully by January, the situation will improve.

“It will probably take at least a few weeks. I am trying to calm down and follow all the instructions of the medical team. We won't really know for sure until the new year. From there, I and the doctors will plan to return to exercise," Curry added.

Curry himself is not optimistic and this makes Warriors fans even more worried. This morning (December 21), they just witnessed the home team lose with the biggest difference in the past 2 years, receiving a final defeat of 132-94 against the New York Knicks.

Without a "chef", the Golden State attack almost completely stalled and lacked a plan to create mutations.

The reality is that even if Curry came out and played well, the Warriors didn't perform too well. Therefore, coach Steve Kerr needs to find a solution soon if he does not want Golden State's win rate to return to less than 50% in the near future.

The next game of the Golden State Warriors will be a trip to the Brooklyn Nets field. This is a very difficult challenge for the Chase Center team when the Nets are flying high on the wings of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
