Super shot in extra minutes helped Thailand escape defeat at Asiad 19
* Scored: Abdulkarim 42' – Purachet 90'+6.
Receiving the ball 30 meters from Bahrain's goal, Purachet Thodsanit tricked past a blocker, went close to the penalty area and curled his left foot into the top corner, leaving goalkeeper Salman Adel rooted to the spot.
This goal helped Thailand retain a valuable point, especially when they controlled the ball well and created many opportunities at Jinhua Stadium.
In the 17th minute, Purachet almost opened the scoring with a direct free kick on the right wing, causing goalkeeper Salman Adel to fly as far as he could to block it. After that, Bahrain suddenly took the lead at the first opportunity. Al-Khalasi poked the ball into the penalty area for Ali Albanna to finish in the 41st minute. Goalkeeper Nopphon Lakhonphon blocked but was helpless before Hussein Abdulkarim's rebound.
In the second half, Thailand replaced a new attacker with Yotsakorn Burapha. In the 63rd minute, this striker hit the post. In the 85th minute, he shot in the penalty area but went over the bar. In between was Kittisak Phutchan's header off the post.
Bahrain also had a golden opportunity in the 80th minute when Mubarak Mohamed counterattacked with the ball at speed, but his shot hit goalkeeper Nopphon.
Thailand and Bahrain will compete for tickets with Kuwait in Group E. Meanwhile, the remaining ticket is likely to belong to defending champion Korea. On September 21, Thailand will meet South Korea, and Bahrain will play Kuwait.
