Coach Erik Ten Hag regretted that Man Utd missed many opportunities and only won 2-0 at Nottingham Forest in the 31st round of the Premier League.

"We had a solid performance and won well," said Ten Hag after the match on the evening of April 16. "The only criticism I can make is that the score should have been higher. It should have been 3-0 or 4-0. We missed a lot of chances."

Antony opened the scoring for Man Utd in the 32nd minute. In the 76th minute, the Brazilian winger continued to shine with an assist for Diogo Dalot. Coach Ten Hag is very pleased with Antony, believes this $100 million student is still making progress, without being caught or playing poorly. "Antony would have had a second goal, if the shot hadn't hit Aaron Wan-Bissaka," Ten Hag insisted.

Man Utd made good use of the defeats of Newcastle and Tottenham to create a gap. Ten Hag's teachers and students climbed to third in the Premier League after the victory against Nottingham, with 59 points after 30 matches, three points more than the fourth ranked team Newcastle and six points more than the fifth ranked team Tottenham. Tottenham also played one more game than Man Utd.

Ten Hag appreciates the points earned in the sprint. He considers every game a final and the team has to approach each game one by one. "Teams are fighting for relegation, or aiming for a high position. So you have to really fight for every point," Ten Hag reminded.

Before the victory against Nottingham, Man Utd fell into a crisis of forces. Due to injury, Ten Hag was unable to use nine players. The Dutch coach admits he has only four really healthy defenders, less than half the number of nine weeks ago. "Today, we proved that we can play really well with those players," said Ten Hag. "We have to keep playing like that next Thursday and Sunday."

Two of Man Utd's nine outfield players are the main centre-back pairing, Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez. In a rare start, Harry Maguire made many mistakes, nearly causing Man Utd to receive a penalty. However, Ten Hag looked at the whole and remained satisfied. "The defense had a very good performance," he added. "We defended with 11 men, but the four defenders contributed a lot. They were really focused."

In the next match, Man Utd is a guest of Sevilla in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the Europa League. In the first leg, the two teams drew 2-2 at Old Trafford. If they overcome the representative of La Liga, Man Utd will enter the semi-finals to meet the winner of the Juventus - Sporting pair.
