USA This year, Major, organized by the American Golf Association (USGA), still accepts members of the arena sponsored by Saudi Arabia, but there is no guarantee that it will continue to be open to them from the next issue.

The 2022 U.S. Open, with a prize of $17.5 million, opens today, June 16, at Par70 at the Country Club Sports and Recreation Center in Brooklyn, Massachusetts.

The entry list includes 156 players, including faces who have just dropped out of the PGA Tour to participate in the LIV Golf Invitational Tournament-Dustin Johnson, Martin Kemmer and Graeme McDowell, Phil Mickelson and Bryson Deschambeau. In this group, only Mickelson didn't win the championship, holding the record of six runners-up.

"A week ago, we discussed carefully and focused on where the golfers played, who sponsored them and the possibility of being suspended. But in the end, we still accepted them and understood the decision. This is not necessarily agreed by many parties," USGA CEO Mike Whan said on June 15 before the 122nd US Open.

Despite accepting this period, the USGA CEO stressed that from the next period, the "PGA Tour Separation Group" is likely to be banned from participating.

Whan further explained the issues that the USGA could not address when the Liv Golf Invitational came up: "Earlier this year, we closed the criteria for selecting competition lists and remain the motto of the U.S. Open open to all. As a result, many people have been given special places before joining the new arena. In addition, this year's U.S. Open has 9,300 registered golfers, counting from local heats. In such numbers, it would be unreasonable, even unfair, to apply the'where to fight and who to sponsor 'criteria to all. "

Liv Golf Invitational Tournament opened in London on June 9th. On the same day, 17 members who volunteered to participate in the PGA Tour were hung with sticks indefinitely without the approval of the organizer. Among the groups disciplined are former champions who returned to the U.S. Open this week-Johnson, Keimer, McDowell.

The Invitational Series is owned by Liv Golf Investments, a business founded and CEO by legendary golfer Greg Norman, whose major shareholder is the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF). The PIF is known for spending money to organise epic sporting events to fill Saudi Arabia's bad reputation for human rights and gender equality.

Each tournament consists of three rounds of non -cutting, gathering 48 players divided into 12 teams with the commitment of all cash bonuses. Each event fund is 25 million USD, of which 20 million for personal sticks, the rest for the top 3 contents of teammates. Particularly for the final tournament - the big final - spending $ 30 million for the top 3 individuals of the entire schedule, $ 50 million for teammates.
