"I don't put too much pressure on myself. The goal is just to finish this distance on the first time I compete. The results surprised me and my family. Born in 1970, Ms. My came to jogging in December 2021, after the Covid-19 epidemic swept through Ho Chi Minh City, for the purpose of health training. After more than a year, from a new member, her hard work and perseverance in training helped her become an inspiration for many other runners with the club.
The Quang Nam-born runner participated in the 21km distance in the first tournament - Tien Phong Marathon Con Dao in March 2022 - and reached 2 hours 17 minutes. Since then, she has participated in eight half marathons and improved her performance with each one. At the MetaSports Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight in February, she reached 1 hour 53 minutes, second in the 50-59 age group.

Commenting on MetaSports Marathon Imperial Hue 2023, Ms. My admitted that she was quite nervous the first time she ran 42km. During the race, she recalled her mistake at the Ben Tre Marathon last June to stay focused. At that time, being instructed by the coach how to distribute strength, she was still too impatient and exerted herself from the beginning, leading to almost having to walk from the 16th kilometer. "Some people say that the older one gets, the more peace and security one prefers. But I don't think so. I like to challenge myself more to keep improving my life. Runner born in 1970 also emphasizes the health benefits of running. She said that in the past, the doctor warned about the bad fat in the body. But after more than a year of running, that fat not only disappeared, but her health indicators improved, surprising the doctor.
My goal is to continue to compete in the full marathon and improve her performance in the next tournament - MetaSports Marathon Sparkling Quy Nhon 2023.
