The first three teams enter the round of 16 of the World Cup
Besides the three places in the 1/8 round of Brazil, Portugal and France, there are also two teams that are sure to be eliminated, Qatar and Canada. The remaining 27 teams will compete for the last 13 places to pass the group stage, in the last round from November 29 to December 2.
Brazil and Portugal only need to draw the last leg to be sure of the top spot, to avoid meeting in the 1/8 round. It is also difficult for France to lose the top of Group D, so it should avoid potential rivals Argentina in the next round. But Lionel Messi and his teammates must win against Poland in the last round to have a chance to take the top of Group C.
The 2022 World Cup also has only three teams yet to concede, Poland, Morocco and Brazil. In which Brazil did not even let the opponent finish the goal once, meaning goalkeeper Alisson Becker has not had to save. They are the second team in World Cup history to do this over two legs, after France in 1998.
There are also three teams that have yet to score in the tournament, Mexico, Tunisia and Uruguay and they are all at the bottom of the table but still have a way to go. Most teams have shot 12 or more times, only Costa Rica have only four times, but scored one and will continue if they beat Germany in the last leg of Group E.
The race for the "Top scorer" is also interesting when no player has completely broken up like Harry Kane with goals at the same time in the 2018 World Cup. This time, Enner Valencia and Kylian Mbappe are leading with three goals, but still and 12 players scored two goals chasing behind.
Neymar has only played one game in the 2022 World Cup, but is still the most fouled with nine times. Mbappe is the only player to have scored more than 10 shots in two games, while goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic has saved the most with 12 appearances for Serbia.
In Group B, England played a "derby" match with Wales at Ahmad bin Ali, while Iran faced the US at Al Thumama. He just doesn't need to lose by more than two goals to be sure to continue. Iran will continue if it does not lose to the US, in case Wales does not win against England. The US must win against Iran to enter the round of 16. And Wales needs to win England and expect Iran to share points with the US.
