The Golden State Warriors star admitted defeat to the LA Lakers in the NBA Playoffs
The Los Angeles Lakers went through an extremely difficult period to win tickets to the Playoffs at the end of last season. There was a time when LeBron James and his teammates dropped to 13th place.
However, the Lakers did the impossible with a miraculous sprint, thereby advancing to 7th place overall and overcoming the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Play-in.
Things did not get easier for the Lakers, when they had to immediately face the No. 2 seed Memphis Grizzlies. However, Anthony Davis and his teammates won 6 games to pit the Golden State Warriors.
Against the defending champion in the Western semifinals, the Lakers defended perfectly against the Splash Brothers. Six more games passed, and the Lakers had a ticket to the regional finals to the praise of Klay Thompson.
"The series against the Lakers was extremely difficult," Klay confessed on the All The Smoke podcast. "Obviously I didn't shoot as well as I wanted to. But not only me, the whole team had a poor performance."
"It's annoying to face Anthony Davis under the basket. His long arms affect our shots a lot. LeBron is still LeBron, and I have to admire the Lakers. They played so well."
While Thompson believes he doesn't finish well, his 38.1% throw from the 3rd line with an average of 10.5 shots per game is respectable.
Even so, that long throw could not save FG 34.3% and even 21.4% in the last three games. The Lakers did a great job dealing with one of the best ADCs the league has ever seen.
Curry is averaging 26.7 points and 7.5 assists per game in this series, but only a 34.3% performance from off the 3-point line - not as good as his own usual standards.
