The Korean referee caught the match between Vietnam and Thailand
Ko Hyung-jin's two assistants were compatriots Park Kyun-yong and Kang Dong-ho. The fourth referee is Mr. Thorid Munir Alkatiri of Indonesia, and the match supervisor is Mr. Richard Del Fonso Joson of the Philippines.
Referee Ko was born in 1982, has rich experience, has been caught in the K-League, AFC Champions League and World Cup qualifiers. He was also invited to catch in the V-League 2022, in the match that decided the relegation ticket between Nam Dinh and Saigon on November 12, 2022. Before that, he controlled a match of the Vietnamese team in the 2022 World Cup qualifier, when Mr. Park's teachers and students lost 0-4 in Australia.
Tien Linh's double helped Vietnam beat Indonesia 2-0 at My Dinh, winning the first ticket to the final. The remaining final place belongs to Thailand, the team won 3-0 in the second leg of the semi-finals and 3-1 in the final against Malaysia.
Thailand is the only opponent in Southeast Asia that Coach Park has never won with the Vietnamese team in official tournaments. He drew 0-0 two matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, lost 0-2 in the first leg semi-finals of the AFF Cup 2020 and drew 0-0 in the second leg semi-finals.
The final match of the first leg of the AFF Cup 2022 will take place at 19:30 on January 13 at My Dinh Stadium. The second leg took place three days later at Thammasat Stadium, where Vietnam drew 0-0 with Thailand in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup.
