America Lionel Messi's first away match in an Inter Miami shirt, at FC Dallas, was sold out quickly after opening for sale.

Messi is expected to join Inter Miami as a guest of FC Dallas on June 8, within the framework of the 1/8 round of the Leagues Cup. According to Bloomberg, tickets for the match sold out after only 10 minutes of opening, although the price was not cheap.

The minimum amount fans have to spend to watch Messi play is 299 USD, while tickets sold on the official channel cost twice as much. On TicketMaster, tickets are for sale for $835 to $2,698. The same thing happens on other black market ticket sites like StubHub or VividSeats. A total of 20,000 fans are expected to come to FC Dallas' Toyota stadium to watch the Argentina striker's first away game.

Messi played three games for Inter Miami and scored in all of them. In his debut against Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup group stage on July 22, he fixed the score 2-1 in the fourth minute of injury time with a superb free kick. Four days later, Messi scored twice, helping Miami beat Atlanta United 4-0. On August 3, he scored twice in a 3-1 win over Orlando City in the round of 16 of the Leagues Cup. All three matches above took place at Miami's DRV PNK home ground, when the stands were empty.

Since signing with Miami last month, Messi has created a fever that shows no sign of stopping in the US. Not only exerting a professional influence on the field, the 36-year-old superstar created a boost for American football, helping MLS attract great attention from the audience.

Before Messi's move, Inter Miami had lost 10 of their last 13 games, leading to the sacking of coach Phil Neville. But the presence of the Argentine captain changed the face of this club. Miami is having the opportunity to go deep in the Leagues Cup - an annual tournament between MLS clubs and the Mexican Liga MX championship.

On August 21, Messi is expected to play his first match in the MLS, against Charlotte.
