AmericanGolfer American Brian Harman drank beer at the party with the Claret Jug cup he just won from The Open and then went back to his hometown to have fun with his family, mowing the lawn with his new car.

On July 23, Harman finished first at The Open 2023 at -13 points, again in an overwhelming position - leaving the runner-up position by six strokes, on Royal Liverpool par71 in Hoylake, England. After accepting the Claret Jug cup for the champion, he said: "I'm going to pour two beers in here and drink it." Harman also showed an approachable style with a polite and witty refusal when he saw that the organizers wanted to hold an umbrella to cover the rain while he was speaking. "You don't have to because I've been soaking wet all day."

That evening, Harman invited his comrades to dinner at a local restaurant that specializes in pure American barbecue and fulfilled his promise to "drink beer from Claret Jug".

After a night of partying in a foreign country, Harman flew home to reunite with his family for a few days, at a lakeside house in upstate New York. Next, he will return to his private resort on the island of St. Simon, Georgia, temporarily hung up the phone to focus on relaxing, with priority given to trying a new lawn mower that had been bought but had not been used due to busy The Open. "It's orange, a 105-horsepower Kubota engine. I don't remember and haven't told my wife the purchase price," Harman replied when asked for details.

On the island of St. Simon, Harman has his own land, 404 hectares wide, used for relaxation and satisfying hunter-gatherer pleasures. The property has a livestock farm, growing vegetables and fruits, and a picnic area. Outside of golf, Harman enjoys hunting, rating himself in marksmanship. At the age of 8, he already knew how to skin a deer.

At The Open last, Harman set a point record after 36 holes, overwhelming lead - five strokes after the third round. Before that impressive performance, the media suggested the nickname "Harmanator" (Harman destroys). However, he politely denied that "that guy is too fierce" and expressed interest when someone suggested "Harman the hunter".

Harman is 36 years old, playing professional golf since 2009. Before winning The Open with a bonus of three million USD, he was a veteran face on the PGA Tour, having passed 339 tournaments in over 11 years with two cups and a combined prize money of approximately 29 million USD.
