Germany's bad relationship with two public servants Thomas Muller Manuel Neuer and internal divisions contributed to Julian Nagelsmann's dismissal by Bayern.

Bayern claimed the team's recent lack of optimism was the reason why Nagelsmann had to leave after 21 months of work, although the 35-year-old leader was brought in on a long-term project. However, according to German media, Nagelsmann's bad relationship with the players was the main reason why he lost his job.

According to Kicker, Neuer and Muller did not support Nagelsmann for different reasons. The fact that goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic, who is very close to Neuer, has to leave the team is said to be Nagelsmann's decision. Muller is not satisfied with being substituted. Since the 2022 World Cup, the Bayern vice-captain striker has not played much.

Bild newspaper said that the Bayern dressing room split sides because of Nagelsmann, so the club's leadership took action to keep the peace. Accordingly, Neuer, Sven Ulreich, Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala, Joao Cancelo and Sadio Mane disliked Nagelsmann. Muller is said to be neutral on the matter. While in favor of Nagelsmann were Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Matthijs de Ligt, Dayot Upamecano and Benjamin Pavard.

When asked if there was a disagreement between Nagelsmann and the player, Kimmich replied: "He didn't lose control of the dressing room." The 28-year-old midfielder also revealed that Bayern did not know in advance that Nagelsmann would be sacked. Goretzka also confirmed that he has not broken his relationship with the coach.

After sacking Nagelsmann, Bayern quickly appointed Thomas Tuchel, with a contract valid until the end of June 2025. The new German coach will start working from today March 27, and will make his debut when leading Bayern to his old team Dortmund on April 1.

Due to a contract until June 2026, Nagelsmann will continue to be paid by Bayern until then, or until he has a new job with an amount of up to 32 million USD. In the summer of 2021, Bayern once paid a record $ 33 million in compensation to bring Nagelsmann back from RB Leipzig.
