The United States dominates the men's 100-meter world

Fred Kerley of the United States led the American trio to all three medals in the men's 100m event at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon on July 16.

Kerley's decision to move from the 400m to the 100m last year paid off couldn't have been sweeter. On the men's 100m final track late on July 16 - noon hanoi time, Kerley finished first in 9.86 seconds.

The two compatriots of Kerley, Marvin Bracy-Williams and the US champion in 2021 Trayvon Bromell, all reached 9 seconds 88, in turn winning silver and copper. The difference between second and third place is only 0.002 seconds.

"Before the last night, U.S. fighter jets skimmed the University of Oregon track Hayward Field. Under the track, American runners also ran at different speeds," ESPN commented.

For the third time, U.S. runners have won all three medals in the men's 100m world championships. Against Kerley, Bracy-Williams and Bromell this year, the last time American athletics won so overwhelmingly was in 1991 in Tokyo, when Carl Lewis, Leroy Burrell and Dennis Mitchell shared three spots on the podium.

This victory is more special. Kerley, Bracy-Williams and Bromell received the cheers from the home audience when the first release took place in the US. "We say we will do before competing, and have completed the mission," Kerley said after winning the first individual world title, with the crowd of "US, US, USA" on the US "on The stands. "All three of us want gold medals, and it's great to be able to acquire the entire medal."

Half of the eight athletes participated in the final from the host country, with the other, the champion of the World Christian Coleman. But only the sixth target with a time of 10 seconds 1.

Yesterday, Kerley departed in the fourth lane, Bracy-williams in the third lane, while Coleman and Bromell were outside with seven and eight lanes. Coleman started the best, but Bracy-Williams pulled up at 70m and 80m. Kerley, with a height of 1m91, dominated from the middle of the yard, accelerated and took the lead in the last 5m.

When he saw his name was called as the winner, Kerley raised his arm, hit his chest and ran away to celebrate the title. "Gold HC is more meaningful than anything else", the 27 -year -old Chan added. "It is wonderful to do it at home with home audiences."

However, the achievement of 9.86 seconds brought back to the world gold medal this time is still inferior to Kerley's own achievement in the US championship, also took place on Hayward Field, Oregon, June 24. At that time, he returned most with 9.76 seconds - the fastest 100m achievement of the year (year best) of the world athletics. Similarly, Bromell and Bracy-Williams also achieved better results at the US championship last month, with parameters of 9.81 seconds and 9.85 seconds respectively.

The world record for 100m is 9.58 seconds, due to the legendary Jamaica USAIL Bolt's legs scored at the 2009 World Championship, in Berlin, Germany.

In the women's 10,000-meter event, endurance icon Sivan Hassan finished only fourth behind Margaret Celimo Kipkinbo, Helen Obiri and Letthenbett Giddy-the Kenyan runner took the gold in 30 minutes 9.94 seconds. The gap between the top four athletes in this group is only 0.62 seconds.

So Hassan's only chance of winning a medal will come in next week's 5,000-meter event, where she is the reigning Olympic champion. Last year in Tokyo, the 29-year-old runner also won gold in the 10,000 meters and bronze in the 1,500 meters.
