The two seasons of Kun Marathon Hue 2020 and 2022 recorded many children who were well-prepared and ready to compete for prizes. However, there are also many children who have never participated in a campaign event, standing among thousands of people for the first time, without their parents by their side, but still completed the race and received a medal.

The organizers said that there were many cases where children were afraid and did not dare to cross the starting line the first time they attended. However, when he overcame his fear and completed the race, he practiced, continued to participate in the next tournament and achieved high results.

Baby Bao Anh, daughter of Bich Van (Hanoi) attends Kun Marathon Hue from 2020. It was her first time going to a crowded sports event. At the race that year, Bao Anh was afraid and cried when he saw a lot of friends rushing to the starting line. Her mother did not stay outside the track to continuously encourage, with the support of the organizers, Bao Anh completed the first 1km in his life.

"That year, after running back home, I said that the track was not as difficult and scary as I thought and asked my mother to continue to let me participate in the next tournaments," Ms. Van said. For Ms. Bich Van, letting her children run is not to win prizes, most importantly, she has surpassed herself, grown up, and become bolder after each race. "It's the biggest victory for my family," Bich Van shared.

One day before entering the race, young athletes will receive a race-kit with Bib, running shirt, hat, Kun milk and some toys. The color of the shirt is divided by age, size, previously registered by parents. Usually, the group of 6-year-old runners wear red shirts; 7 years old blue shirt; 8 years old yellow shirt; 9 years old pink; 10 years old green.

The cap is designed specifically for Kun Marathon, printed with cartoon characters, matching the colors of the shirt. Bib also has 5 colors, corresponding to the ages for children to find their right turn.

The running track is 1km long, equipped with obstacles to stimulate motor skills in children. The obstacles at this tournament were inspired by famous landmarks in Hue, designed to suit the children's physical condition. After completing the run, the children were awarded medals right after the finish line.

Baby Gia Huy (Hue) has collected enough race-kits and finisher medals for two seasons of Kun Marathon Hue 2020, 2022 along with three Kun Marathon medals in other localities. Ngoc Lan, her mother, said that she aims to collect enough Kun Marathon medals in provinces and cities this year, before she is too old to participate in the tournament. "She loves participating in tournaments and collecting medals and jerseys. So I always try to arrange a time to take her to competitions," said Ms. Lan.

The previous tournaments had the participation of Meritorious Artist Xuan Bac, artist Truong Giang, art ball player Do Kim Phuc, singer Bao Ngoc, Tam Tuet Ngan Chi, Tiktoker Boi Boi... On the track, they were companions, cheering for the children, then there was an exchange program on the main stage when all the young runners finished the race.

In addition to physical activities, the organizers also arrange educational activities for the children such as writing thank you notes, showing caring actions for parents and friends by their side. Ms. Xuan Anh (Da Nang) said that after participating in the running race, her two children learned new lessons.

"Sometimes my parents tell me, I'm distracted, I can't remember the words. But when I participate in the tournament, I get to interact with famous people, my brothers and sisters remind me, I absorb it and go home very quickly." sister shared. For this parent, this is not only a physical activity event, it is also a place to help children perfect life skills. "I find the program more and more meaningful and practical when the organizers open slots for the children to do well," she said.

Kun Marathon is an event on the sidelines of the MetaSports Marathon Imperial Hue 2023, for children from 6 to 10 years old. Nearly 3,000 young runners will compete on April 15 on a 1km running track. As in previous tournaments, completing the track, they all receive medals and winning items. Particularly, children with good results in each run have the opportunity to receive valuable prizes.
