Thailand More than 20,000 tickets for the second leg of the AFF Cup 2022 final match at Thammasat Stadium were sold out after only five minutes of opening for sale this morning, January 12.

The second leg will take place on January 16 at Thammasat Stadium with a capacity of 25,000 seats. The organizers issued more than 20,000 tickets, all sold online. The ticketing gate opened at 10am this morning, and after only a few minutes, the Thai team's fanpage immediately posted a photo announcing that all tickets were sold out.

The highest listed ticket price for the host audience is 600 baht (about 420,000 VND) in stands A. Audience B is 450 baht, and C and D have the same price of 250 baht. Thairath reported that the ticket price was being sold outside by the ticket faction at double the face value.

Meanwhile, tickets for away team fans cost 750 baht (about 520,000 VND). The away team's fan area is located next to the press area in stand A.

The ticket price for the second leg is nearly half cheaper than the first leg at My Dinh Stadium, which has a capacity of about 40,000 seats. Vietnamese owners sell four denominations including 400,000, 600,000, 800,000 and 1 million dong. By the afternoon of January 12, the ticket faction in front of My Dinh yard had quadrupled the ticket price.

The attraction of the final helped all tickets be sold out after only about two hours of opening on the online channel on the morning of January 10. Previously, the matches between Vietnam and Malaysia and Myanmar in the group stage and Indonesia in the semi-finals were not sold out.

Vietnam and Thailand have met once at Thammasat Stadium, a 0-0 draw in the second stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Asia in September 2019.

After reaching the final, the Football Federation of Thailand (FAT) asked the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) to change to play at the Rajamangala national stadium with a capacity of 51,000 seats. However, AFF refused in the response on the afternoon of January 11, evaluating Rajamangala not being eligible to organize, especially the pitch, because it had just held a music event.

The finals of the first leg and return of the AFF Cup 2022 will take place at 19:30, on January 13 and January 16, respectively.
