Woods will start the Masters 2023 competition at 21:20 today, Hanoi time. This is the 25th time he has attended the tournament exclusively organized by Augusta National, including two occasions when he was still an amateur, in 1995 and 1996.

Of the previous 24, Woods has won the Green Jacket for the champion five times, most recently in 2019. However, his first victory, in 1997, was the most resounding, when he touched seven and broke 20 professional records, of which 10 items have not been passed so far.

At that time, Woods became the youngest champion in history at 21 years, 3 months and 14 days. He hit 270 over four rounds, finished -18 and dropped 12 strokes from runner-up Tom Kite. With that result, Woods became the new record for the most-second gap in tournament history, far ahead of the old mark of nine strokes set by Jack Nicklaus in 1965. Nicklaus still holds the record of six Masters wins.

In 2002, Woods was crowned for the third time, to defend the title of defending champion. And so, only he, Nicklaus and Nick Faldo won two Masters in a row.

In 2005, the American superstar swam upstream to wear a green jacket for the fourth time. That year, Woods hit 74 rounds in the first round and was seven strokes off the top of the table. However, combining the following three rounds, he scored -14 to join Chris DiMarco in T1 (-12) after four standard rounds. When closing the result with an extra hole, Woods beat DiMarco in the first round, with a birdie on the 18th hole from a putt 4.5 meters away.

Masters 2005 recorded Woods and Faldo owning the record of successful upstream success with the longest distance, since the first round. In the end of that period, Woods also topped the "Masters chronicle" in terms of birdies pooled in two consecutive rounds. - seven birdies in round 2, nine more in round 3.

Woods also scored the most eagles at a Masters - four times in 2010, including a hole-punch on his second shot at the par4 7th hole in the fourth round. However, the championship that year belonged to Phil Mickelson. Mickelson set a -16 point to win the Masters for the third time, and Woods finished T4 (-11).

In 2019, Woods finished first for the fifth time, at the age of 43 years, three months and 15 days, thereby becoming the oldest player to touch five Masters championships. Six months after that victory, Woods took the Zozo Championship to join legendary Sam Snead in holding a record 82 PGA Tour titles.

As for the Masters' gross prize money, Woods is also at the top, with $9.588 million.

Last year, after more than 14 months of convalescing due to a near-fatal traffic accident in February 2021, "Super Tiger" chose Masters as the rematch event. He finished 47th with a score of +13.
