Quoc Luong, Dan Quyet, Van Long, Nguyen Thanh and the presence of Kenyan runners predict an exciting race in Nha Trang, August 13.

After the first season attracted 8,500 runners, MetaSports Marathon Marvelous Nha Trang returns on August 13, promising to bring many interesting changes. In particular, the 42km championship race received a lot of attention when it was expected to have the participation of many champions, former champions and factors from abroad. The names that are predicted to be crowned include Trinh Quoc Luong, Dang Anh Quyet (Dan Quyet), Nguyen Van Long, Hoang Nguyen Thanh,...

MetaSports Marathon Nha Trang will mark the return of Trinh Quoc Luong after a long absence from the movement track. Quoc Luong won the MetaSports Marathon Hanoi Midnight 2020 with a time of 2 hours 31 minutes 06. So far, this parameter is still the best among the domestic champions of VM. In 2022, he was absent due to injury treatment and focused on important tournaments. After a year of ups and downs, the runner from Bac Giang is actively training to compete for the championship on the day of re-export.

Hoang Nguyen Thanh - 31st SEA Games marathon champion is also considered a potential candidate. In 2022, he achieved the feat of winning the SEA Games with a record of 2 hours 25 minutes 07 - the best parameter in Vietnam, but only finished third at SEA Games 32 a year later. However, the runner from Binh Phuoc still has the strength to compete at the top. In 2023, Nguyen Thanh is busy participating in many movement awards, more or less rubbed, accumulated experience and is in good form.

Not only the above two faces, the second season of MetaSports Marathon Nha Trang also has many runners who want to win the most like Dan Quyet, "mutant" Nguyen Van Long. Dan Quyet participated in all the MetaSports Marathon tournaments but never finished first. He often won the first prize in the movement and always kept the record around 2 hours 45 minutes. VM Nha Trang last year, Quyet finished second after Nguyen Quoc Dung. In the system, the runner born in 1990 is the one with the most stable form.

Former national player Nguyen Van Long is an interesting case. At the recent VM Quy Nhon, the 38-year-old runner is the champion of the movement system. He repeatedly expressed his desire to win the MetaSports Marathon final and said he was excited to be rubbing against international runners. He was excited when he had the opportunity to face Victor Chepkwony - Kenyan runner at VM Hue. However, this foreign runner could not participate in the tournament at the last minute.

Nguyen Van Long's wish is likely to come true when Victor Chepkwony confirms his participation in the MetaSports Marathon Nha Trang. This runner has achieved a record of 2 hours 19 minutes, at the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon 2019 and can win the tournament in Vietnam if he is in good shape and in accordance with the weather. "Rubbing with strong running legs brings many lessons to domestic runners, especially when competing for the championship is no longer easy. I believe in the long run the achievements of Vietnamese people will increase when they have higher goals and focus on training and nutrition," Nguyen Van Long shared.

Meanwhile, in the women's 42km event, Shelmith Nyawira Muriuki - the champion of MetaSports Marathon Quy Nhon 2023 is the highest rated. Shelmith's achievement of 2 hours 47 minutes, set a month ago, is difficult for any Vietnamese female runner to catch up with.

MetaSports Marathon Marvelous Nha Trang 2023 took place on August 13, becoming the second tournament after VM Ha Long 2022 to reach 11,000 people. At the end of summer, runners can run on the coastal road in cool weather, convenient to exert their strength. The organizers expect the tournament to witness a thrilling and exciting competition, like how Le Van Tuan and Pham Ngoc Phan competed to the last meters at VM Quy Nhon 2023.
