Winning Nottingham Forest 3-1 in the 27th round of the Premier League on March 11, Tottenham firmly established the fourth position and shortened the gap with Man Utd to one point.

After publicly questioning coach Antonio Conte about his decision to reserve in the second leg of the 1/8 Champions League round with Milan, Richarlison had his eighth start in the Premier League this season. The Brazilian forward plays alongside Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, while Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Moura stand in reserve.

In the 3rd minute, Richarlison left his mark when he received Oliver Skipp's long pass and then finished in the corner near the roof of the visitors' net. The 25-year-old striker then ran to the corner flagpole to celebrate with fans and teammates. But Richarlison's first goal in the Premier League this season was denied when VAR came in and determined offside.

In the 19th minute, Pedro Porro - a player who arrived at Tottenham on a five-month loan with an option to buy for $ 52 million - crossed the ball from the right for Kane to head a diagonal corner out of the reach of goalkeeper Keylor Navas. The English striker has scored eight goals with his head in the Premier League this season, just one less than the record set by Duncan Ferguson in the 1997-1998 season.

In the 34th minute, Kane poked a slot for Richarlison to escape and was knocked down by Joe Worrall in the penalty area, bringing Tottenham a penalty. On the penalty spot, Kane shot into the center, while Navas poured to the left, scoring his 20th goal in the Premier League this season, just behind Erling Haaland with 28 goals.

Tottenham's attack closed the day with sublimation in the 62nd minute. Receiving a cross from the left wing of Richarlison, Son Heung-min controlled with his thigh to eliminate Serge Aurier and then finished through Jonjo Shelvey's legs to the far corner. This is the sixth goal in the English Premier League and the 10th in all competitions this season for the Korean striker.

Subsequent efforts only helped Nottingham Forest equalize a goal in the 81st minute, when Gibbs-White cornered Felipe to head the pass for Joe Worrall to finish in the empty goal.

The 3-1 victory helped Tottenham secure fourth place with 48 points, ahead of Liverpool - the club lost 0-1 at Bournemouth in the early game - six points, but kicked one more game. Conte's army also shortened the gap with Man Utd to one point, but kicked more than two games. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest stomped on 14th place, but the distance between them and the group holding the red light was reduced to three points.
