Truong Dinh Hoang is on the stage with Korean martial artists
In 2019, Truong Dinh Hoang defeated Gyu Hyun Lee (South Korea), after a 10-round match in Hanoi, to win the WBA East Asia Championship. A year later, he won by knockout against Yuttana Wongda (Thailand) in the WBA Asian super-middleweight title match (76kg).
After a hiatus due to Covid-19, on September 29, 2022, Truong Dinh Hoang defeated Robert Kopa (Indonesia) by knock-out, marking the milestone of returning to the professional ring after three years.
On March 25, at Saigon Sports Club (HCMC), Vietnamese boxers will fight Dae Hyun-baek at the Lead: Born to Lead Tournament.
Dae is considered the top martial artist of Korea. Since stepping into the professional ring in 2018, the 24-year-old boxer has an impressive record of four wins (three times by knock-out) and one loss. Therefore, the 32-year-old Vietnamese boxer is forecast to face many difficulties in his journey to defend the belt.
In addition to Truong Dinh Hoang, the event was also attended by boxer Le Huu Toan - who has just entered the top 8 boxing world in the Minimum weight category. Huu Toan will defend the WBA Asia Minimum title with boxer Garen Diagan (Philippines). According to Box Rec's rankings, Diagan is rated 3 stars, has nine wins in his career, including five by knockout, in addition to three losses.
Another Vietnamese boxer, Nguyen Ngoc Hai, will also be on the ring in the WBA title match in South Asia with boxer Campee Phayom (Thailand). These three top matches are the highlight of "Lead: Born to Lead", the second event in the series of professional boxing tournaments, organized by Shadow Entertainment in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Boxing Federation.
