Tsitsipas won the championship for the first time on grass

World number six Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(2) in the final of the Mallorca Open on June 25.

Tsitsipas won the first time he reached the grass court final. He had previously won eight titles, divided equally on hard courts and clay. At the age of 23, the Greek player is the youngest person to win all three courts since Lucas Pouille in 2017. Tsitsipas is leading the number of ATP Tour wins this season with 40.

Bautista Agut was cheered enthusiastically by the home audience. But, the Spanish star got off to a slow start. He lost the rhythm of the serve, leaving Tsitsipas leading 4-0 after the first 20 minutes. The comeback effort helped Bautista Agut claim a break-point but not enough to catch up with the 11-year-old juniors. Tsitsipas secured the final serve, then closed the set with a score of 6-4.

Bautista Agut continued to lose the game to support the ball first in the second set and was led 1-3. He then played more fiercely with the deep shots of two corners to have 12 Winner points and win five games, ending the set with a 6-3 victory. Tsitsipas only had three Winner points in this set, because often falling into the defense at the end of the yard.

The second seed has the chance to end the three sets early when leading 3-1 and 5-3 and serve the serve. But Tsitsipas lost to the decisive game, leaving Bautista Agut then removed 5-5 and brought the final into the tie-break series. Tsitsipas's ability to serve in the brainstorming series, helping him win the 7-2 gap and be crowned in the Mallorca for the first time attending the tournament.

In the first round of Wimbledon started on June 27, Tsitsipas met the player who had to play Alexander Ritschard qualifying. Tsitsipas's battle also has Nick Kyrgios, Denis Shapovalov and Bautista Agut himself on the fourth round.
