US Women's Open loses sponsor

USGA announced the termination of cooperation with ProMedica on March 31. "Many major changes have occurred at ProMedica after shaking hands with the USGA and thereby raising the US Women's Open to a new level. Now, they want to focus their expertise and have proposed to end the contract from 2023."

Through Golfweek, ProMedica explained that they withdrew because of financial difficulties and needed to focus on solving the shortage of personnel in the system. ProMedica operates in 28 US states.

Last year, ProMedica became the first companion sponsor in US Women's Open history.
