Uzbekistan Midfielder Nguyen Van Truong, who made a great contribution to the victory over Qatar in the Asian U20 tournament on the evening of March 4, was satisfied with Vietnam's play.

In the second half of the first half, from the fierce dispute of teammate Nguyen Duc Viet in the middle of the field, the ball came to Van Truong. Midfielder No. 8 made a long pass for Quoc Viet to speed up, turn the ball to eliminate a Qatar defender and then shoot with his right foot to open the scoring. In the 90th minute, Van Truong personally scored when he received a free kick from Duc Phu's left and then headed back to beat the Qatar goalkeeper, setting a 2-1 result for Vietnam.

In the opening match against Australia 1-0 on March 1, Quoc Viet scored from a quick settlement on the left flank. "Vietnam has many combinations to score goals. As everyone has seen, we have both scored in the past two matches, although both are strong opponents," Van Truong said after the victory over Qatar.

The central midfielder on the staff of Hanoi FC affirmed that he was not surprised in the situation of scoring a goal. "I saw my teammates hanging the ball into the penalty area, then ran to catch the ball and then headed it," Van Truong said calmly.

According to the 20-year-old player, referee Akhrol Risqullaev was a ripple in yesterday's match, when blowing many situations in favor of Qatar. The culmination was a penalty in the 83rd minute, leading to a 1-1 equalizer by the Gulf representative. Duc Anh was accused of committing a post-push foul on Ahmed Al Rawi, although the slow-motion showed a very slight impact.

However, thanks to Van Truong's goal, Vietnam still won all three points, to win all two matches of Group B. If they win at least one more point against Iran in the last round, he and his teammates will enter the quarterfinals. But Van Truong wanted more than that. "My only goal is to win tickets to the U20 World Cup in Indonesia," he asserted.

Meanwhile, captain Khuat Van Khang thanked all teammates. "The whole team played very well today," he said. "I am grateful to my teammates who fought to the end, and this victory is a team effort."

On March 7, Vietnam played Iran, still at Istiqlol Stadium at 17h00 Hanoi time. At the same time, Qatar will face Australia - the degree that won a surprise 3-2 victory over Iran.
