Vietnamese martial artists challenge Korean MMA masters
The famous international mixed martial arts tournament Angel's Fighting Championship (AFC) was brought back to Vietnam by Cocky Buffalo on the evening of March 10 at The Grand Ho Tram Strip. The event will feature 8 pairs, including 6 men's matches and 2 women's matches, bringing together top names with extensive experience in the regional and international martial arts arena.
The highlight of the tournament was the challenge of Vietnamese boxer Hoang Nam Thang with Korean professional boxer Oh Su Hwan. Oh, 26 years old, is highly appreciated in terms of experience and bodybuilding with a height of 1m75, 5cm more than Nam Thang. Korean boxer nicknamed "The Beast" is considered a master in wrestling and locking techniques with many years of practicing MMA.
Nam Thang is a talented fighter known for his technical and passionate shoe shine in the largest professional MMA arena in Vietnam, Lion Championship.
Previously, Nguyen Tien Long was the name chosen to compete with Oh. But near the date of going to the floor, the boxer of the Kung Fu MMA furnace suddenly gave up. According to manager Kim Sang Bum - CEO of Cocky Buffalo, giving up right close to the match day means that Tien Long has given up, and this match may not take place.

Angel's Fighting Championship (AFC) is a professional MMA tournament held periodically in Korea, bringing together many quality international fighters to compete. AFC applies a very different competition format, helping to optimize the advantages of boxers specializing in Grappling and limiting the blows of standing fighters (Striking). These are somewhat new details for Vietnamese boxers who are familiar with the format of previous MMA tournaments.
Accordingly, AFC allows the use of Heel, Hook and Twist moves (knees, heels, spines) in Grappling. In Vietnam, these tightening techniques are considered very dangerous and are banned from competing at the MMA Lion Championship.
