Vietnamese women will practice with the former male U23 team

The former Vietnam U23 team that attended the 2003 SEA Games has many famous names such as goalkeepers Duong Hong Son, The Anh, defender Huy Hoang, midfielders Quoc Vuong, Minh Phuong, Tai Em, Tuan Phong and striker Van Quyen. , Cong Vinh, Phuc Lam. Most of this age group are working as coaches in V-League and First Division teams.
The Vietnamese women's team gathered from March 10 and trained for a week in Quang Ninh. This week, the team returned to the VFF Youth Football Training Center to continue to practice full strength, endurance, speed and tactical techniques. Before the gathering, the female players competed in the 2023 National Cup. Therefore, coach Mai Duc Chung thought that three matches was enough for him to arrange the squad before going to Nepal.
Vietnam summoned 31 players this time, but no number one star Huynh Nhu because she is playing in the Portuguese championship for Lank FC. HCMC FC contributed the most with 11 players, followed by Hanoi (8), Vietnam Coal and Minerals (8), Ha Nam (2) and Thai Nguyen (2). After that, the team returned home before going to Japan for a two-week training session from April 17 to 30. The 32nd SEA Games women's football in Cambodia in May will be the next tournament, with the goal of trying to protect the gold medal.
