Xuan Bac: 'Running teaches children how to overcome challenges'

After Kun Marathon Hanoi 2022, elite artist Xuan Bac has the second time accompanying the children of Kun Marathon 2023 when the race arrives in the coastal city of Ha Long, on the morning of September 9. He arrived at the competition area at 6 a.m. to prepare, warm up, and warm up the atmosphere with the children.

After the starting signal, he busily ran with and cheered all age groups, helping the children overcome obstacles, tie shoelaces, award medals at the finish line, and interact with parents outside the barrier. .

Xuan Bac said that after completing the challenge, although tired, his spirit was buoyed by the energy from the children and parents. "The spirit of the children is outstanding, very energetic. Continuously shouting and high-fiving, my hands turned red. Many of them ran and cried looking for their mothers, many of them were a bit fat and had difficulty moving but still determined to reach the finish line, not giving up," Xuan Bac said right after reaching the finish line.

According to the artist, not only the 1,500 child runners, their parents also showed a great spirit. "There are people who live far away with their children, waking up early to come here before the competition, warming up with their children, and encouraging them mentally. That shows parents' concern for their physical and mental health. of my children," he said.

Xuan Bac shared that more programs like Kun Marathon are needed to create motivation, trust and direction for the community in promoting health.

"Kun Marathon is always the same, the organization is very careful. The running route is safe, the obstacles are moderate, and it is held on a beautiful beach. I hope the tournament will come to all cities in Vietnam, promote the spirit of sports and exercise, spreading good things," he said.

After conquering the running track, the male artist returned to the award-giving stage and interacted with parents and children. Coming to Kun Marathon, the purpose is not only to spread the spirit of physical training and sports, Xuan Bac hopes to work with the organizing unit to create a change in the way of life and thinking on the journey of children growing up. . "There may not be a change in action right away, but there is a change in perception. It may be simply looking at everything with a positive lens, saying thank you to the people around...", Xuan Bac share.

He said that he is a spontaneous person with children, so the post-race interaction will not follow a sequence or script. He cares, listens attentively to the children's thoughts and actions and has appropriate activities to have fun with them.

Previously, at Kun Marathon Hanoi 2022, he and the organizers wrote thank you notes for children, which was highly appreciated by many parents for bringing positive change.

"My daughter has changed markedly since the first time she attended the Hanoi Kun Marathon last November. At that time, she also interacted with Uncle Xuan Bac and listened to his reminders. Coming home, she not only did but also set an example for the children. Kun Marathon Ha Long is an event on the sidelines of the MetaSports Marathon Ha Long. The tournament took place on the morning of September 9 at Ha Long city's beach square. 1,500 children from 6 to 10 years old successfully conquered the nearly 1 km long run on the beach.
